Shirley Holden Simmons, 86 of Ash passed away December 3, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sherwood Simmons, her parents Richard and Dora Holden and a son Woody Simmons, one grandson and one great grandson.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Doris Bazen (Loranzie) of Trinity, Maxie Blizard, of Asheboro, Wanda Register (James) of Old Dock, and Mary Clemmons (Billy) of Supply, brothers R. W. Holden (Betty) of Kennedale, TX, Eldredge Holden (Chick) of Supply, NC, sister Nelva Brown (Linwood) of Supply, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was member of Myrtle Head Baptist Church, loved canning, gardening, sewing and taking care of family.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Hwy 17 S. Interment Inman Cemetery in Ash.
