I haven't seen Shirley in many, many years, but will always remember fondly "Ma's" never-failing support and belief in all of us as teenagers and her down-to-earth take on life. She will certainly be missed. Janie, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Cherish the memories. With love, Mary Lou

    Peggy Thurber says:
We will miss the lady with the sharp wit; who was always observing, laughing, reading, gardening, traveling, cooking, and playing the trump card. We will miss the person so full of love for her family (four-legged included), her friends, her Coast Guard, her country. We were richly blessed by knowing her.
