Stanley D. Wilson, age 91, a resident at The Commons at Brightmore passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Stanley was born in Lockport, NY on November 17, 1927 to Thomas Wilson and Hazel Jane Wright Wilson.

Stanley was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during WW II. He was a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and had a long career in chemical manufacturing and was retired from Allied Chemical Company in Acme, NC. He was a member of Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church and a member of the Senior Mens Group in Wilmington. He enjoyed playing golf, mostly at Old Fort and The Cape.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Wilson; son, Michael Wilson and wife Berneda; daughter, Cathy Boltz and husband Donald; three grandchildren, Loni and Tim Wilson, and Sammie Foust; two great granddaughters Emma and Veda.

Memorial service 4 pm Monday, October 7, 2019 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made the the Alzheimer’s Association.
