Stanley Wade Skiles, 68 of Surf City, NC passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013.

He was born in Plymouth, NC on July 29, 1944 to the late Leonard and Margaret Skiles.

Stanley was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He was retired from TELECO in Wilmington with 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Davis Skiles; one sister, Gayle Davis and family of Plymouth, NC; sister in law Sylvia Edwards and husband Alan; brother in law Michael Ennis; nephew, Christopher Brian Ennis, Jenna, and great nephew Jonah Michael Ennis.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Pine Valley United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Stan’s memory to the Methodist Home for Children via Pine Valley UMC, 3788 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412.

    i am sorry to learn of stans death. i remember him from wrightsville beach and working with him at the rec hall. i also saw him around wilmington working with telco. my condolences to his family
