Stephen Alexander Broadfoot, 47, died unexpectedly at home on October 3, 2020. Alex was a graduate of Laney High School and attended University of North Carolina – Wilmington. A very casual service will be held Saturday, October 24th at 12:00 outside at the bridge near the lake at Long Leaf Hills Park (the former Hugh MacRae Park). Even though the service is outside, the family does request masks be worn and a proper distance between families be respected. Family will have the opportunity to get together after the Memorial, directions to follow separately.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent, but anyone who wishes may contribute to an Educational Memorial Fund being set up in his name for his daughter, Lily. The GoFundMe site information is: https://www.gofundme.com/f/alex-broadfoot-education-fund-for-lily-b/share.

    Tighe Broadfoot says:
You know I find it kind of ironic to find this... to everyone from the Broadfoot family, I wish to say hello. I wish I could have gotten to know some of you. Thank you for all you have done for me in my early years. Maybe we can reconnect and I can get to know some of you. My best wishes to all of you.
