Steven Eric Becker, age 54, of Wilmington passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his home.
He was born July 24, 1961 in New York, New York the son of Helen Tippett Becker and the late Donald E. Becker.
He graduated from high school in Wilmington, NC, moved to Memphis, TN where he became a Master Mechanic and moved back to Wilmington in 2002. Eric was a very skilled mechanic who loved NASCAR, was born with a keen understanding of the skill and was tinkering with engines at the age of 8 years old. He enjoyed sports like baseball and golf but really loved motocross and racing.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Aaron Joseph Becker; sister, Wendy Becker Smith; nephew, Brett Aaron Smith; and many other loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
