Mike was a true man of great faith. He loved his family with complete love. He loved the Lord with all of his strength. He absolutely loved to fish. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections, a place of respect for him and a part of him that touched his life, as well as, he touched the lives of others. He also volunteered with the Seaman Center in Wilmington, NC at the Port and enjoyed sharing God’s love and shining God’s light to those that came in from many different countries. He was a member of Riley’s Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Point, NC, and served in the Bread Ministry. Mike never did serve in the Armed Forces, but you will never find a more patriotic man in your life. Mike will be deeply missed by all, but his family knows they will see him again one day in Heaven and are thankful for that promise.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Riley’s Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Point, NC Bread Ministry, Lower Cape Fear Hospice in memory of Mike Hartley Wilmington, NC., or to The Seaman Center in Wilmington, NC in memory of Mike Hartley.
