Mike was a true man of great faith. He loved his family with complete love. He loved the Lord with all of his strength. He absolutely loved to fish. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections, a place of respect for him and a part of him that touched his life, as well as, he touched the lives of others. He also volunteered with the Seaman Center in Wilmington, NC at the Port and enjoyed sharing God’s love and shining God’s light to those that came in from many different countries. He was a member of Riley’s Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Point, NC, and served in the Bread Ministry. Mike never did serve in the Armed Forces, but you will never find a more patriotic man in your life. Sue and Robert Marye says:
We are so sorry for your loss. We remember Mike and the family from way back on Phobus Drive - we were the newlyweds across the street. I can remember baking the squash pie for Mike and he thought it was pumpkin and loved it. We think about all of you often and are so sad to learn of Mike's passing. May God be with you all during this difficult time.
