Susan Styles Gruber 53, of Wilmington died suddenly on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her home.

Susan was born September 18, 1957 in Portsmouth VA the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine McDonald. She was predeceased in death by a sister Peggy Blount.

Surviving are her husband Timothy D. Gruber, daughter Betsy Robertson of Wilmington, brothers Robert McDonald, Jr of Asheville , Scott McDonald of Raleigh, and Roger McDonald of Coco Beach, FL, and a host of friends and neighbors.

Susan was a member of Pine Valley Church of Christ where a memorial service will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, December 4, 2010. Pastor Mike Hipes will officiate the service.

Memorials may be made to the Pine Valley Church of Christ “Youth Department” 3601 S. College Road Wilmington, NC , Breast Cancer Society, or Disabled American Veterans.

She conquered many adversities, but thruout her own difficulties, she remained a constant and loyal friend.She will be missed by many, i will hold her close to my heart.
