    Karen Linehan says:
I will always be grateful for the experiences I shared with Suzy during our four years together as co-teachers in first/second grade at Friends School of Wilmington. Her dedication to our students and excellence in teaching will be remembered forever in our community. I loved her passion for children's literature, her innate ability to structure lessons so that children truly understood concepts, and her incredible sense of humor. My classroom will always keep a sacred space for Suzy. Her exemplary teaching will influence my work for the rest of my life. I am so sad for our loss of Suzy, but her gifts to our school community remain strong and vibrant.
