Sylvann Parmele’s passing was a loss to her family, friends and neighbors. She was born to Issac Cartz and Sadie Resnick on May 5, 1935 in London, England. She is survived by her cousin, Rosiland Koskoff, her stepdaughter, Penni Auster, her nephew, JB Ellis and her goddaughter, Adriana Orsorio.
Sylvann made friends easily. She loved traveling, photography, reading and gardening. She also taught English to immigrants. She was a serious animal lover and fond of the color purple. As expected of any British lady, she enjoyed a cup of tea.
There will be no traditional funeral. Instead, her ashes will be buried in a friend’s garden where we will celebrate and reflect on the richness Sylvann brought to our lives.
