Sylvia Griffith Wallace, 64, of Leland, NC died Friday, December, 10, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Sylvia was born in Wilmington, NC September 2, 1946 to Bennie and Leatha Griffith of Wilmington as their only child.

Sylvia was a devoted and caring mother. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three daughters Cassi and Rob Whitney of Wilmington, Denise Kinney of Southport, and Deven and Ray Boyles of Hampstead and their children Jacob and Kyla ; one granddaughter Allyson Kinney of Southport ; and her best friend and cousin Mary Bryan of Castle Hayne; and her beloved dog “Hoss”.

Graveside Services will be 3 PM Tuesday December 14, 2010 at Greenlawn Cemetery.

The visitation is Monday night from 6-8 PM at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association,7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75231.
