Memorial Gifts & Donations

Tashia “Tash” Louise Small, a one-of-a-kind soul was taken from us too soon on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  Tashia was born on July 13, 1980 in Meriden, CT. She graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1998 and went on to receive an Associate degree from Manchester Community College in Marketing. In 2018 she relocated to Wilmington, NC for her employment with REProphet. She chose Wilmington to be near her favorite place, Carolina Beach.

Tashia was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend; deeply committed to being an incredibly loving person to all. Her generosity had no limits. Tashia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; being a TikTok guru, chatting with friends and family, cooking, baking, sitting at the beach watching the sunset, exploring new adventures that came her way, and movie nights with her fur baby Kevin. She also had a distinct love for llamas, telling dad jokes, and sampling a variety of different wings and bourbons.

Tashia had the impeccable ability of reaching people in a deep and profound way. She lit up any room with her smile, her humor and her free spirit.  She loved her family and friends deeply. Tashia will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Tashia is survived by her mother, Nancy Burnes, sister, Deborah Burnes, niece, Brianna Jordan, all of Glastonbury, CT and aunts, Susan Small and Margaret Mello, of Harwich, MA. As well as her extended family, the Hardings of Glastonbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your local animal Shelter in her honor, as she loved to volunteer her time with her furry friends.

A Celebration of Tashia’s life will take place on Sunday October 9, 2022 from 4:30pm-7:30pm at Elicit Brewery in Manchester, CT.

Tashia, girl, you made me laugh. So much! I’ll miss our video calls and the annual face to face meet and greets when you’d come through MD. Your joy was bigger than life. Rest easy.
