Terence Joseph Constable, age 79 of Wilmington passed away Monday, May 10, 2021.

Terry was born in Buffalo, NY on April 6, 1942 to Theodore Constable and Clara McMullen Constable.

Terry was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam as a Combat Medic and later as an Environmental Health Specialist, and retired with over 22 years of service. After his military retirement, he began a second career at WORK, Inc, serving adults with special needs in Quincy, MA. He retired and moved to Wilmington 15 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Martinez Constable; his son, Terence Constable, Jr. and wife Debbie, and his daughter, Melissa Constable Musliner; grandchildren Jessica, Tony, Tyler, Austin, and Kevin; great-grandchildren Allison, Lindsay, Erika, and Tanner; his brother Norman Constable and wife Dodie; and his beloved dog “Belle.” He was preceded in death by a grandson, Terence Joseph Constable, III, his siblings Ronald, Theodore, Maureen, Sharon, Carma “Dolly,” and Barbara, and his 4-legged buddy, Barky.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 12 noon Friday, May 14, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel, 1535 South 41st Street, Wilmington. The service will be available online for those who cannot attend in person. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center Foundation, the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit, or a charity of your choice.

    I just meet him at his granddaughter wedding his son Terry is a close friend.i talked to him for a while and was fascinated by his life of a service member it was so interesting and as a fellow member of the military I was so proud sharing stories with him. God bless him and rest in peace
