Terry Lynn Hunt, of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 19th. She was 68 years old.

She was born to the late Harry and Lee Harles, June 4th, 1943 in Florence, SC. Terry graduated from Rocky Mount High School in 1961, and attended Peace College. She married James Hunt in 1970 in Denver Colorado. They settled down in Holland, PA. in 1979 before relocating to Sunset Beach in 2005.

Terry Lynn was a flight attendant for United Airlines until 1972. After she married and had a family, she started her second career as a school librarian for the Council Rock School district in Newtown, PA. Upon retirement in 2005, she remained active by volunteering at the Coastal Carolina museum, was on the board at Hickman’s Crossroads Library, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Girls Raised In The South.

Terry Lynn is survived by her husband, James Hunt also of Sunset Beach, three children and one step-daughter: Andrew Hunt, stationed in Honolulu; Rachel Riley, of Elkins Park, PA; Jason Hunt of Ft Myers, FL; and Leslie Gunderson of Ft. Myers FL. She also is survived by two brothers Charles Harles of Raleigh, Harry Harles of Washington D.C, her sister Regina Haggerty of Norfolk VA, and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am , Friday, November 25, 2011 at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 801 11th Ave. N., in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will be receiving guests in their home following the service.
