Terry Wayne Pollard 80, of Hampstead, NC passed away on Monday August 7, 2023 at Woodbury Wellness after a short illness.
Terry was born in Alexandria, Virginia during WWII on January 16, 1943 to the late Reverend James Leland Pollard and wife Daphne Bone Pollard. He grew up in North Carolina and graduated from New Hanover High School and attended Wilmington College and UNC-W. He spent several years in customer service with Eastern Airlines. He would go on to spend the next 26 years in Law Enforcement with City of Wilmington PD, New Hanover and Pender County sheriff’s office and the NC DMV enforcement officer. Terry was a real estate broker for 15 years and had his own agency representing a developer in NC selling his subdivisions. After he retired he worked for several automobile dealers in the Wilmington area.
Terry is survived by his wife of 46 years Linda; son Matthew and wife Shannon; brother Douglas Pollard (Diana); sister Nancy Clark and husband Jim; grandson Jackson and several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law and a number of nieces nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday August 19, 2023 at the Hampstead Baptist Church where he worshipped his Lord.
