Theodore D. (Ted) Bigford passed away suddenly April 15,2022 from natural causes preparing to do what he loved best – fishing.

Ted was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family even more than he loved fishing.

Ted is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle Heath Bigford, his son Mark Bigford and wife, Beth, daughter Stephanie Young and husband Rob, step-sons , Cary Fowler, Larry Fowler and wife, Angie, granddaughter, Lindsey Kretchman, grandsons Jamie Bigford, Eric Ottaway, Paul Fowler , Kevin Fowler and six great-grandchildren.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents William Edward and Susie Bigford, siblings Eugene Bigford Vivian Dixon , Richard Bigford, Nina Faulk, Mildred Barber and Sylvia Meshaw

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at Wesley United Methodist Church in Riegelwood. services will follow at 11:00 am. Graveside service will be held at Weyman Church Cemetery in Riegelwood immediate following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Weyman Cemetery Fund, 156 Narrows Gap Road, Riegelwood, NC 28456.
