Thomas Anthony “Tony” Long, 65, of Leland, passed away on July 25, 2023.

Born September 30, 1957,  Tony was the oldest son of Herbert Long, Jr and Martha Faye Atkins, both of whom preceded him in death.

Tony retired from the United States Postal Service with 36 years of service in Wilmington, NC.

He leaves behind his beloved son, Joshua Long, his grandsons, Joshua Long, Jr. and Tucker Burton, his former wife, Teresa Long, all of Leland, NC;  as well as his loving siblings, Johnny Long (Beth) of Clayton, NC, Chris Long (Tabby) of Mason, WV, sister Deborah Kennedy of Reno, NV;   Loving Aunts and Uncles in Florida, many cousins and their spouses, many nieces and nephews; special friends, Becky Bullard, Kathy Zachary, David Burney, special friends and co-workers from the Wilmington Post Office and especially our neighbors on Forest Hills Drive; and lastly, his loyal companion, his dog Archie who was always by his side.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 11:00 AM at Bridge of Life Community Church, 2220 Mercantile Drive, Leland, NC 28451, officiated by Pastor Jerome Bullard.
