Thomas Edwin Parker, Jr., of Wilmington passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013.

He was born in Wilmington on April 9, 1963.

Tommy was a graduate of Hoggard High School, and worked in the grocery business for many years at Harris Teeter and Food Lion stores. He was currently employed with Granite Services at General Electric Nuclear Energy. Tommy enjoyed all sports, and especially watching NC State games, and he enjoyed playing golf in his leisure time.

Tommy is survived by his son, Thomas Corey Parker; father, Thomas Edwin Parker, Sr. and mother, Patricia McKeown Parker; three brothers, Tim Parker (Susan), Tony Parker (Caroline), and Tracy Parker (Sharon); and one niece and two nephews.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

A memorial service will be 11 am Friday, August 30, 2013 at the graveside in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
