Thomas F. Curry of Leland, NC passed away Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Thomas was born on September 19, 1937 in Erie, PA to the late William and Margaret (Lucore) Curry.

He was a 1955 graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie, PA and served 4 years in the United States Air Force (SAC) as a radar repairman. After serving, he worked for American Sterilizer (Steris) where he was employed for 40 years before retiring to Leland, NC in 2000.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dina Seibel, and daughter-in-law, Julie Ann Curry.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia St. Peter Curry; one sister, Beverly Anthony of Vineland, NJ; one son, Jeffrey Curry of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren: Jaime Jackson (Shane) of Wilmington, NC, Nicholas Seibel (Beckie) of Pittsburgh, PA and Jeremy Curry (Kara) of Norwich, CT (USN); three great-grandchildren, Ainsley, and Maverick Jackson and Grayson Curry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his canine companion, Carter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 525 Village Road Leland, NC 28451, with Father Bob of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease at Donation Processing, The Michael J. Fox Foundation P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.

    Aunt Patty, Jeff and Curry family, I am saddened to read that Uncle Tom has passed away. He certainly lit up any room he entered and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. I hope we all find peace that his physical suffering has ended and he has been reunited with his family members that have passed before him especially his beloved daughter. RIP Uncle Tom and you will never be forgotten.
