Thomas Otha (Opie) Sagle Jr, of Wilmington NC went to be with the Lord Saturday March 5, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Grantsville WV on August 13 1972 and graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1991. Thomas was very proud of his service in the US Army. He worked many years at The Salvation Army in Wilmington NC where he had the opportunity to touch many lives with his caring and generous heart.

Thomas is survived by his fiancee Susan Maloni, and her children Amy and Timothy Maloni, whom he loved as his own; his mother and father Rosetta (Sagle) and Donald Deavers of Mt Vernon OH; his brother and sister-in-law Charlie & Alicia Sagle and nephew Jesse of Howard OH; and many aunts, uncles and cousins; his dogs Buddy & Stumpy and“grand-dog” Liesl; and he will also be greatly missed by the many Wayward souls whose lives he touched with his unflagging spirit, humor, and love.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Otha Sagle Sr and his little sister Billie Melissa Sagle.

Memorial services will be held at The Salvation Army Church, 2:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2011 223 South 3rd Street, Wilmington. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army in his memory or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
