Timothy Darryl Mayes, 55, of Wilmington, was summoned by the King and had to appear so he won’t be with us except in our hearts.

Born in Lumberton, February 25, 1961, a son of the late Roscoe and Carrie Hall Mayes, he was raised in Elizabethtown and had lived in Wilmington for the past 20 years. He had been emplyed in the automotive business for over 20 years.

He is survived by his sister, Pat Wilson and her husband Jack; his brother, Roscoe Mayes and his wife Linda, and his niece Shawn Sheriff.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
