Tina B. Munroe passed away on September 15, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Born January 25, 1963 in Wilmington, NC. She is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Favreau, sister Teresa Benton, and granddaughter Barbara Thomas.

Surviving are her beloved husband, James J. Munroe and grandson, Alexander S. Thomas of the home. Two sons Elliott Thomas and Seth Thomas, and grandchildren Kylin, Jasmine, and William. Also surviving are her father, Arland Benton and sisters Lisa Benton, Tracy and husband Michael Bannon, and Tammy Benton, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She began taking care of children from the age of 16 and shared her sweet spirit with so many. She enjoyed cooking for her family and decorating for every holiday. During the past year she had the opportunity to ride in a helicopter, and visit local sites, learning to make the best of every day and share her excitement of the little joys that we often overlook due to the busy world around us.

A celebration of Tina’s life will be held at the Riegelwood Baptist Church, 103 Hwy 87 Riegelwood, NC 28456. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 10:30 until 11:45 with a short grave side service following.

    Even though I did not know Tina personally, I really wanted to express my condolences to you and your family. God’s word the bible speaks of a time when death will be a thing of the past. Revelation 21:3, 4 is a comforting scripture that I wanted to share with you during your time of sadness.
