Tony Montanez

Tony Montanez age 61, of Wilmington, NC  passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

His courageous battle with cancer may have taken his body, but it could never take the love he had for Crystal Atkinson, the love of his life, and his two beautiful girls Maddie and Zowie, his two sons Eric and Rick, his brother Rick, his sisters Diana, Jeanette and Gail, along with all his family and friends.

Tony had the kindest heart and his willingness to help others in need without judgement was a rare gift. His love for his family was a bond that will never be broken and will go on through eternity. He will always be remembered as a Wonderful husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will forever be loved and missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a donation to Crystal for their girls Maddie and Zowie.

A celebration of life will be held on 2:00PM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at River Road Park: 6500 River Road, Wilmington NC 28412 for everyone to attend.

I just want to say. I will miss u brother. U have always been there for me. No matter what stupid stuff I might have got into . I would call u and u be right there. Never ever judge me. What I will miss the most is u calling me or introducing me as ur babysister at the age of 58. It just tickle me.... I am truly going to miss u my brother always and forever. Till we meet again. Love u with all my heart always
