  I am crying. I have known Valerie since 1987. She was my healer, my husbands, my son and massaged me every week thru my pregnancy w/ my daughter. She massaged my father in law thru his illness. I KNOW she loves Gabriel. Spoke with such love and pride of her daughter. Gabriel, be strong as Valerie would have exhibited to you. Know that we all are thinking of you in this time and know that we all will keep you and your family in our prayers.I cannot express how much I will miss Valerie.

  She was a dear friend of two of my daughters. I only met her two weeks before her demise. My impression of her was that she was a delightful person who exuded friendliness and charm and a very cheerful spirit. Although I only had the opportunity to speak with her for about 20 minutes, I feel the pain of her departure that must be felt by her closest relstives.

  I'm absolutely stunned. Valerie was my massage therapist - healer, she earned that title - who helped me to recover my health and my ability to resume work. Once when I was due to open in a theatrical performance that evening she put on some music and she danced with me to get my energies up. Beautiful, luminous, inside and out.

  To my angelic sister who now lives where i think she was ment to be all along. I am still here suffering with the rest of the mortals on this crazy planit we call earth.See you soon. valerie was the youngest of my three sisters and therefore closest. we seamed to be connected in so many ways. something that not to many people outside our family knows was that she would see things in dreams before they happend. sometimes we would just think she was just saying it to have fun but other times we would beleive her. when we were youg children val swore she saw a robed covered arm reaching out of the clouds to reach a bible. She never recanted that story and I somehow allways beleived her,even though not letting her know. i now am in the mindset to beleive you val .you have finally found the reason you saw the angels arm.thankyou val for being my sister while you were here.   The moment I met her I knew we were kindred souls & every time we saw each other we picked right up from wherever we'd left off. She activated in me a desire to become an energy healer & I hope I can be as good as she was @ her gift. Her caring, loving & healing soul will live forever in my heart.   I was shocked and sad to read in the paper today about valeries untimely death. She was such an uplifting person and helped me through some tough times after breas cancer.   Dear Clayton, I know that we haven't seen each other or talked in years, but I just wanted to let you know how very sorry I am for your loss at this time. I heard about this tragedy from my sister Cookie. I can only imagine the depth of your pain. I remember when we all lived at the "Monkey House, " and how highly that you spoke of Valerie.   I met Valerie about 7 years ago, introduced to her by Angelion. She made such an impression--I thought she had magical energy! We became friends ever since. I haven't known a kinder more generous and pure hearted person-- with such amazing healing powers. Words cannot express the sadness of her departure from the Earth.   Such a tragedy is never understood. We assume when such a golden life is taken, there is a hidden purpose. We live in a terrible world and Val perhaps was too good for it.   I was shocked and deeply saddened to read about Valerie in the newspaper. Valerie was the most wonderful person I ever met; she will live with love in my heart for as long as I live. I never stopped loving her. I am so sorry for your family having to go through this ordeal, you did not deserve this. I miss your family, and the memory of your kindness will live forever.   First, my heart goes out to family and friends of Valerie. I became a client (and sometimes did treatment exchanges - am an acupunturist). I really appreciated her wonderful healing touch. We talked of all sorts of things and felt a close connection. Valerie had a gift of laughter and a joyful spirit, she made you uplifted just to be in her company. She will be deeply missed.

  valerie kelly was one of those rare gems. the twinkle in her eye, the extra bounce in her step, the warmth of her healing touch, the openness in which she approached others, the beauty she created and inspired, are all reminders of how very unique and special she was. she graced my life, she loved me with her whole heart, and i shall miss her greatly in my days. i know i am not alone in this sentiment. rest in peace, my dear, fairy friend. you have walked a good earthwalk and now peace is yours.

  I was so stunned to hear that this happened to Val. She was an awesome friend and massage therapist. I started going to her in 1993 and through her wonderful gift of massage she helped me through many health issues and stressful life events. Val was an awesome person with a wonderful heart and an awesome smile. She loved her family, friends and doing the God given gift that she was given. She did not deserve to go this way.   My sincere sympathy to Valerie's family and friends. I was one of Valerie's many clients and although I did not know her for very long, felt an instant connection with her.   I just heard the heartbreaking news about Valerie and am sill trying to wrap my mind around the injustice of the death of such a beautiful, loving, talented woman. I grieve for her and for her family. I knew the magic and healing of Valerie's touch. She was so spirited and kind. It's impossible to believe anyone would ever harm her. I am so sorry for your loss. Chuck still talks about the great massage she gave him before he started to drive back to Louisiana one time.. It made the drive home so much less tiring he said.   Dearest Loved Ones, I know you all so very well, especially you Gabriel, because of the time I spent with Valerie. She loved you all so very much. I am so very sorry for your loss. For most of the 12 years I saw Valerie, my appointments were on Tuesday afternoons. Many times she was just returning from time spent in WIlmington. We'd talk for hours about the family and her love and concern. I like to think my input was as valuable to her as her guidance was to me. I saw Valerie weekly for all those years. She became a treasured friend and mentor. My heart is broken. I know you understand when I tell you I loved her and cannot imagine her not being here with us. She was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. She was my healer, guide and most importantly, my friend.

  Eris and Gabriel, Please know that I am at a loss to comprehend that Valerie is gone. At least her spirit lives on in my heart. She had an almost mystical beauty and grace about her that was hers alone. Gabriel, Valerie's grandfather and my grandmother were siblings. I remember you as a child. You and I are second cousins once removed. Please know that you are always welcome at my home in Raleigh any time. My phone number is 919-782-8100. I occasionally would "run into" your mother in Raleigh or Cary and we would talk. The first time was when my son was only 6 months old; he will be 34 in October.   I am Valerie's neighbor across the street and we had no idea this had happened until today when my wife went to get our mail a friend of Valerie's was driving by and asked us if we had seen any family lately. I had seen cars but thought it was part of her business we had grown accustomed to. I am so sorry for your loss and we are hurting and grieving with you. I last spoke with her about a month ago while running on the greenway and she was walking Beau-Chi. She always had a kind smile, an uplifiting spirit, and a soft, calming voice. She will be missed in the neighborhood.

  I have lived directly across the street from Valerie for 12 years. It is with great shock and sadness that I have learned of her tragic and untimely death. Valerie was a special person - always pleasant with a very unique laugh. Her smile was unique too - and always quick! I saw her trimming her beloved Eucalyptus tree just before she left for Wilmington last week - she loved that tree and brought it back from certain death more than once! Many times when my dog would escape Valerie would put a leash on her and bring her back to my yard. Things will not be the same around the neighborhood without her - she will be greatly missed by all she came in contact with.
