Vaun S. Johnson 72, of Rocky Point North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was the widow of James Mason Johnson who died on January 29, 2012.
She is survived by her two daughters Sharon Johnson and Karen Laughlin and husband Mark . She has eight grandchildren, Charles Teachey, Justin Teachey and wife Cynthina, Jacquelin Whaley, Paul Rush lll, and Elizabeth Rush, Larry Fuller, Trinity Fleming and Chayne McNealy. She has five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Whaley, Elizabeth Whaley, Caleb Teachey, Mariah Teachey, and Jacobi Teachey. She is also survived by one sister Dixie Mancel of Laurinburg North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephew‘s and a very special friend Geraldine of Rocky Point.
The family would also like to thank her church family of Apostolic Tabernacle for all the love and friendship that was extended to our mother and grandmother over the last five years as well as the prayers for the family during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held at Apostolic Tabernacle , 712 Wellington Avenue in Wilmington on Thursday January 25, 2018. She will be buried in Laurinburg Memorial Park.
The family will see friends from 2:00 PM until service time at the church.
