Vernon Rawlings Hanford, Age 49, of Leland, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 19, 1967, in Savannah, GA., the son of Rayford Ray Hanford, Jr. and the late Lillie Leona Rawlings Hanford.

Vernon is survived by his daughters Raylyn and Jessica and his father Rayford Ray Hanford, Jr.

A service to celebrate Vernon’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Wilmington Chapel.
