Vicki Adams Bell

Vicki Ellen Adams Bell, 59, of Carolina Beach, NC, died Wednesday evening, April 29th, 2009 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born December 2nd, 1949 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Mrs. Bell was the daughter of the late Daniel Glenn Adams and Mrs. Cornelia Hicks Adams of Mt. Airy, NC. She graduated High School in Mt. Airy in 1968 and later attended Forsyth Technical College graduating with a degree in nursing in 1977. She worked at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC and upon moving to New Hanover County worked for twenty years in the Recovery Room and Ambulatory Surgery Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Her interests included tennis, reading, traveling and a deep-seated love of the beach. She attended Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Charles Everett Bell and their son, Daniel Everett Bell, both of the home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Carolina Beach, North Carolina with the Rev. Keith Grogg officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Bell’s memory be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physician’s Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Charles Bell the afternoon following the services.

    Charles and Daniel My deepest sympathy to you both. Vicki was a very special lady. I worked with her in PACU for several years. She was a very caring individual. Daniel she loved you very much.
