Vickie Jo (Victoria) Thomas Lewis

Vickie (Victoria), age 75 of Wilmington, NC passed away Thursday August 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Vickie (Victoria) was born in Whiteville, NC on February 29, 1948.  She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Laura Victoria Lupton Thomas and her brother Larry Doian Thomas.

Vickie (Victoria) is survived by her loving husband of 9 years Robert Guenter Lewis, son Richard Crowell Arp, III (Michell) of Wilmington, NC, daughter Laura Jo Arp Chambers (Mike) of Winnabow, NC, step-daughter Karen Pridgen Evans (Danny) of Hampstead, NC, (2) step-sons Robbie and Russell Lewis of Wilmington, NC, (8) grandchildren Michael Jarrell (Jessika), NC, Keith Breazeale, Jr (Lauren), Alicia Gober (Jeffrey), Dustin Chambers (Tara), Taylor Chambers, Kristen Hole (Seth), Savanah Haskins, Charlie Evans, (6) great grandchildren Hannah Breazeale, Morgana Glenn, Bella, Nathan and Elena Gober, Lynette Hole and fur babies Pippa (Bube) and Buddy.

Vickie (Victoria) was a graduate of Whiteville High School class of 1966. She worked as a data punch operator for the New Hanover County Tax Office in the late 70’s and was the office manager and recruiter for Kelly Services in the early 80’s. Vickie (Victoria) loved working in her yard and chasing the Sun, whether it was on the boat or at the beach. She was so very proud when her yard was selected as part of the NC Azalea Festival 58th Annual Garden Tour in 2011. Vickie (Victoria) was an instant friend and; loved by all who knew her. She will be missed terribly.

Visitation services will be held Wednesday August 9th between 6pm-8pm at Wilmington Funeral Chapel, 1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare or to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
