Vincent Edward Palazzo, 82, of Hampstead passed away on August 29, 2010 with his loving family by his bedside at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.
Vince is survived by his wife of 59 years, Amelia Palazzo, and daughters JoAnn Palazzo of Hampstead, Gina Palazzo of Bradley Beach, NJ and Laura Palazzo and her husband Steve Wojciehowski of Manahawkin, NJ, and grandsons Daniel and Christopher Wojciehowski.
Born in the Bronx, NY, on March 28, 1928, Vince grew up in Boonton, New Jersey. He and wife Amy opened Town Television Service there in 1953. After closing the business 27 years later, Vince went to work as the Deputy Communications Coordinator for Morris County (NJ) Emergency Management. He retired in 1994 and moved to Hampstead to pursue his lifelong interests of Amateur Radio (K2GDD), boating, bowling, volunteering. His most favorite thing was just to be surrounded by “his girls”. His was a gentle and generous soul with a wonderful sense of humor; Vince has touched many lives with his loving smile.
The family will schedule a celebration of Vince’s life at a later time.
