Virginia Driggers Patrick, age 90, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 8, 1925 in Bennettsville, South Carolina the daughter of the late Wilbur Driggers and Pearl Weaver Driggers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Carey Patrick Jr. and sons, Donald Patrick and Alan Ray Patrick.

Virginia was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. Her strength, sense of humor and nurturing ways will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gail and Ronnie; grandchildren, Hailey (Adam), Brittney (Josh), Dawn (Rocky), Scottie and Ashly; great grandchildren, Mckaylin, Jaylin, Cameron, Sadrean and Lacibella; and numerous other loving family members.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

    Mother, I don't know where to start.I loved you so much and I can't even begin to think ofa day without you.You have been the best mom in the world and every moment I have spent with you had been so worth it you have your life to your children and your grandchildren, im going to miss you with every breath I take and god surely blessed me when he chose you to be my mother I thank you for the million times you wrap your loving arms around me and kiss my cheeks and told me every thing would be alright and that you would be there with me for life and boy were you right. I know daddy and my two brothers, and fallon is dancing in heaven tonight knowing you are coming home. I love you my sweet beautiful mother we will have our day again.
