Virginia Sullivan Flowers, 71 of Winnabow died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Flowers was born in Southport, NC on February 17, 1944 to the late David Sullivan and Annie Mintz Sullivan. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Flowers.

Survivors include a son, Donald Ray Caison, Jr. and Celesa of Leland; two daughters, Brenda Flowers Burks of Leland and Amanda Marie Locklear of Holden Beach; a daughter-granddaughter, Ashley Flowers of Winnabow; two brothers, Roy Sullivan and wife Margie of Leland and Sidney Sullivan and wife Exelene of Wilmington; a half brother, Wayne David Sullivan of Wilmington; three sisters, Margaret Raynor and husband Eddie, Patsy Ferguson and husband Freddie of Wilmington and Linda Rabon of Winnabow and a half sister, Ann Eddins and husband Charles of Leland; nine grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the Village Road Chapel from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service will be Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Old Piney Grove Cemetery in Winnabow on Greenhill Rd. at 2:00 PM.
