Willard Charlson Hamilton (Tim) left this Earthly world on July 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Debby Hamilton and four children Tracy Day (Jeff) of Spotsylvania, VA, Wendy Hamilton of Cumming, GA, Melanie Ollice (Steve) of Hartland, WI and Bradley Hamilton (Holly) of Chapel Hill, NC, and his 7 grandchildren, Chelsea, Lindsay and Andrew Day, Chris and Emily Ollice, Isla and Luna Hamilton and his sister Faye Ackart (husband Wayne) of Penn Yan, NY.

Tim grew up in Auburn, NY. He spent his Summers at Star Cottage at Farleys Point, NY.  Tim attended Cornell University, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and a cheerleader. He received a Ph. D. from University of California at Davis and did his Post Doctorate work at Lehigh University. He had a successful corporate career at Gillette and Xerox which culminated as Director of Research and Development at Johnson & Johnson. In 1983, Tim moved his family to North Carolina, where he started his own consulting business and taught at UNC and CFCC.

Tim loved to travel, especially France, and collected wines along the way. He enjoyed boating, Carolina football, fireworks and socializing with friends.  His biggest love and proudest achievement was his family. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren.
