William (Bill) Franklin Clemmons 69 of Shallotte went to be with his Lord on December 19.

He was born on June 15, 1941. A son of the late George David Clemmons and Catherine Jones Clemmons. He was employed with the DuPont Co. for 31 years and retired from the US Navy and the Navy Reserves with 23 years’ service.

Survivors include wife Sybil Ann, son Paul and wife Claire of Leland, daughter Rhonda Clemmons of Ocean Isle Beach, a sister Margaret Black of Easly S.C. and two grandchildren Caroline and Andy.

A memorial service will be 7:00 PM, Monday, December 27, 2010 at Brunswick Islands Baptist Church, Supply, NC where the family will receive friends one hour prior. David Stratton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Lower Cape Fear Hospice “Brunswick Homes”, 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington NC 28401.
