William “Bill” Insco


William “Bill” Everett Insco, age 86 of Wilmington passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

He was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC on March 8, 1929 to Logan Elvin Insco and Hattie Caroline Everett Insco.

Bill was a member of St. Johns Lodge # 1 A.F & A.M., Sudan Temple Shriners, Arab Shrine Club and member and Past Captain of the Sudan Drum & Bugle Corps. Bill was the former operator of the Wilmington Phelps Pest Control business.

Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ella Raye Clemmons Insco; daughter, Barbara Cavenaugh (Jeff); sons, William Everett “Billy” Insco, Jr. (Melissa), and Michael Insco (Michelle); brother, Alton Insco (Yvonne); five grandchildren, April Bradshaw (David), Brent Cavenaugh (Allison), Jonathon Cavenaugh, Brantley Insco and Cara Insco; four great grandchildren, Mason Cavenaugh, Ella Cavenaugh, Adriana Bingham, and Erin Sims; and his beloved cat “Puddin”.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 6 Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 3, 2015 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel with Masonic Funeral Honors. Burial will be in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brent Cavenaugh, Jonathon Cavenaugh, David Bradshaw, Brantley Insco, Ivey Riggs, and Matt Johnson.
