I am so sorry that Bill has passed away. I had many conversations with him. I look forward to seeing him in the next life. He was a brave and beautiful soul from whom I learned much. He will be missed. He told me about seeing the moon from his deck on the beach. Now, when I see the moon, I think of him.

I am profoundly sorry to hear of Billy's passing. I will always remember his wry smile. It was just who he was. From my first meeting swimming against him in Tarboro to his time at UNC, he was always quick with his smile and a sarcastic quip that made me laugh. He was also someone I might not see for some time and when we got together we would kid and joke, but the conversation would quickly turn serious and he was always concerned about what was going on in my life. He will be missed by all who knew him and I am very sorry for your loss.
