William E. Hudson

William E. Hudson 85, of Wilmington died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial service will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service.

He was born June 6, 1925, in Beaufort County, NC, and was the son of the late Heber Jesse Hudson, and Sadie Marie H. McGee. Mr. Hudson was also preceded in death by his brother , Heber Jesse ( H.J. ) Hudson Jr. Mr. Hudson lived some of his life in Pitt County, NC, but has resided in and near Wilmington, NC, since 1965. He was a Custom Home Builder and Contractor until his retirement in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Nila Mcdowell Hudson of Rocky Point, NC; brothers Harvey A. Hudson of Burgaw, NC, and John N. Hudson and wife (Marianne) of Fayetteville, NC, a sister, Doris Marie H. Hutchinson and husband (Glynn), of Douglas, GA; two sons, Billy Earl Hudson and wife (Virginia), of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jack L. Hudson and wife (Yvonne), of Maryville, TN; one daughter, Pat H. Brown and husband (Ken), of Stokes, NC; two stepdaughters, Sylvia Graham, of Asheville, NC, and Janet G. Ganon and husband, (Jack), of Wilmington, NC. He also has seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
