William George Marshall, 75, of Hampstead, went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Bowen Marshall.

Born in Wheeling, WV, January 31, 1947, a son of the late William F. and Emma Jean Bennett Marshall, he had been the director of the engineering department of the former Cape Fear Hospital until his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a helicopter crew chief in the U.S. Army.

Besides his wife Sharon, he is survived by his daughters, Michelle Lambert and her husband Michael, and Kimberly Marshall as well as their mother, Phyllis Mcanich all of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Sharon’s daughter Shelly Graham of Hamstead; and his grandchildren, Maggie, Colin, Claire, and Nancy and Shayla; and his sister, Victoria Marshall of Wheeling, WV. He was predeceased by his siblings, Ronald, Michael, Deann, and Mark.

His family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, November 21, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Hamstead Memorial Chapel of Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 16076 US-17 Hwy N Hampstead, NC. 28443. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Hampstead Memorial Chapel with Pastor Samuel “Skip” Williams officiating.
