    Lisa Andree says:
I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Sutton's passing. In the late 1980s, I worked for him when I was a student at UNC-W. He allowed an entire group of us to clock in and out and run back and forth to our classes. I wonder if he ever realized what a tremendous gift that was? His Sutton Council student employees were both delivery drivers and sales people, and thanks to Mr. Sutton's kindness, we were able to work and finish school. He was the quintessential Southern gentleman and a charter member of "The Greatest Generation." Sincerely, Lisa Andree

    Bertha B. Todd says:
I recently read of the passing of your spouse, William "Billy" Sutton. I want you to know that I have fond memories of both of you.Of course, I have always loved Hobbs, Jr. and Sterling. Jean, since my spouse (Edward) and my older sister (Ida) passed away six weeks apart in 1995, I have found it difficult to attend funerals - especially of a spouse. I plan to send to you one of my favorite books about grieving. Take care. Love, Bertha May God grant you and yours the peace that passeth all understanding. With Deepest Sympathy, Bertha, Rita and Brian Todd
