William Cecil Johnston, 54 of Kure Beach died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at his home.

William was born November 1, 1955 in Lenoir County, North Carolina, to the late Cecil Ringgold Johnston, and Homozelle Twyman Johnston of Wilmington. He was a scout master for Carolina Beach Troop 210, Boy Scouts of America, and a construction superintendent.

In addition to his mother, (daughter) Sara Johnston, (son) Eric Johnston, Nina Johnston, Karen Wilson, Logan Cain, Auston Cain, Aaron Cramer (Kimberly and Porter), Amy Blankenship (Scott and Colin) plus many friends and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church 1209 North Lake Park Boulevard Carolina Beach, NC. Conducting the service will be the Reverend Keith Grogg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cape Fear Council, Boy Scouts of America at P.O. Box 7156, Wilmington, NC 28406
