Memorial Gifts & Donations

William Wesley Sasser, known as “Wes” to family and friends, age 44, died on October 21,2016 at NHRMC. He was born on July 7, 1972, in Wilmington, NC and was the son of Barbara Reavis (Al deceased) and Lewis N. Sasser (Gloria).

Surviving, other than his parents, are his wife Dana Huggins Sasser, his nine year old daughter Mary Elizabeth “Mary Beth” Sasser, his step-daughter Kaity Jordan, and his brothers: Lewis N. Sasser, Jr.(Terri), Martin Alan Sasser and Gregory Lynn Reavis (Dannell).

Wesley was employed with NHRMC in the food distribution department for ten years, and most recently transferred to their grounds facilities department. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he, most recently, served as a deacon. Both his work and his church gave him a chance to do what he loved most, working with others to help them overcome obstacles in their lives. His interest in others and his loving demeanor were traits that enabled him to bridge many gaps. Above all else, was his love for his family and, most especially, his daughter, Mary Beth.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel from 6-8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
